BusinessFirst! For a Greater Dayton Region is a regional business retention and expansion program that spans 5 counties, 34 jurisdictions, and can connect you and your business to almost 100 resource partners to help our region's businesses grow and flourish. We are the single-point of contact for all of your business needs.
Created in 2001, and nationally recognized, the BusinessFirst! Program uses a customer oriented approach to economic development that connects businesses to resources in the Dayton Region. BusinessFirst! has provided assistance to over 9,600 businesses in the Greater Dayton Region!
We want to hear from all kinds of businesses, especially those that are:
- Encountering barriers to business growth
- Considering a facility expansion
- Experiencing infrastructure, utility or security issues
- Having difficulty navigating local land development and/or regulatory processes
- Considering acquiring another company, being acquired or merging
- Having difficulty finding qualified personnel

Montgomery County’s Business Solutions Center gives businesses a gateway to find resources, navigate government requirements, identify local and state incentives, plan workforce development, or simply network with business people.
The BusinessFirst! Relocation Program offers companies and candidates, new to the Dayton Region, resources to help them learn about the area.
Established in April 2010, the Dayton Region-Israel Trade Alliance (DRITA) promotes business development and identifies collaboration opportunities for companies in the Dayton Region and Israel.
Enterprise Zones are designated areas of land in which businesses can receive tax incentives in the form of tax exemptions on eligible new investments.
Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) benefits can include expedited shipments, reduced transportation costs, reduced paperwork, quota restricted materials, duty deferral, duty elimination, duty reduction, Customs fees management, or state inventory tax exemption.
