News
Walk into FC Industries' newly expanded campus in Montgomery County, OH, and you'll see more than steel, machines, and sparks flying. You'll see a multigenerational story of innovation, grit, and growth that has quietly powered some of the country's most critical industries for over 50 years. From aerospace to automotive, defense to construction, this Montgomery County-based manufacturer is a cornerstone of the region's economy and a shining example of what's possible when business and community grow.
Founded in 1972 by Frank and Lila Casella, FC Industries has stayed true to its roots while steadily scaling its reach. Today, it has five specialized subsidiaries, including AFC Tool Company, AFCS, Barsplice Products, Dayton Precision Aerospace, and the recently acquired MC Coating. The company generates $85 million in annual revenue and employs more than 315 people locally.
A New Chapter, Same Commitment to Dayton
In late 2024, FC Industries took a major step forward, completing a new 40,000-square-foot facility steps from its headquarters on Webster Street. Known as FC Building 2, the space will serve as a launchpad for expanded operations, housing new production lines for MC Coating and Barsplice Products. The move enables the company to broaden its product offerings, improve operational efficiency, and, most importantly, hire 30 to 40 new employees from the region.
Montgomery County: A Launchpad for Manufacturing Growth
Its local-first mindset is a practical advantage. Montgomery County's strategic location, skilled workforce, and responsive government make it a premier place to start or expand a business.
FC Industries' latest project was built in partnership with Dayton-based Dryden Builders and supported by Harrison Township and regional economic development partners who understand what manufacturers need to succeed. From workforce training to infrastructure and permitting support, the region has provided the tools FC Industries needed to turn vision into reality.
A Supply Chain of Success
Each of FC Industries' five companies plays a distinct role in delivering turnkey steel solutions:
- AFC Tool Company designs flight hardware and custom machinery.
- AFCS is a tier-one automotive supplier with advanced tube bending capabilities.
- Barsplice Products builds the mechanical splicing systems used in concrete construction.
- Dayton Precision Aerospace manufactures high-tolerance components for the aerospace industry.
- MC Coating, acquired in 2023, specializes in industrial epoxy coatings that are now being scaled in the new facility.
Together, they form a vertically integrated network that provides reliability and performance across multiple industries—all from the heart of Ohio.
