Businesses Have Market Opportunities in Thailand, Vietnam
22 Oct 2018
Companies in Thailand and Vietnam are major buyers of U.S. products in many industry sectors, and economic development agencies in Ohio and Pennsylvania are planning a trade mission to help companies in both states take advantage of those opportunities.
The Ohio-Pennsylvania Stateline Export Initiative is organizing a mission in March 2019 to Bangkok, Thailand, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, so that businesses can market their goods and services to potential buyers in those countries. Companies taking part in the trade mission will get market research in advance of the mission, one-on-one meetings with businesses and extensive assistance while in the countries.
Industries include, but are not limited to, industrial or electrical machinery and equipment, automotive parts and accessories, iron and steel products, optic and medical equipment, plastics products, chemicals, and hardwood lumber.
In 2017, trade reached $5.4 billion between Ohio/Pennsylvania and Thailand/Vietnam.
